Hi Everyone & a ? for Tom

Posted by Jennifer(Phoenix) on 10/19/2005, 11:21:37
Hi. I have been here for years but this is the first time I have ever posted anything on the internet anywhere but I have a ? for Tom and anyone else who wants to answer. How do you get past the fear of anything I guess, but especially in regards to travel/flying post 9/11? I am 35, been married for 12yrs, SAHM with a 5y/o dtr. and 3y/o son & I used to love to fly/travel but it seems since 9/11 I am afraid. It wasn't conscious, but I remember being on my first plane after 9/11 and the doors shutting and feeling that panic out of nowhere and going Oh F*** I'm trapped. This is the part for Tom I guess but how do you get back in a helicopter after you've been in one that crashes without being completely afraid? I would love to hear from any of you in regards to how you do this. Special mind tricks? Thanks to everyone here for making my 4:30 coffee so enjoyable and please know that I am here and that you all make me think and want to be something better by sharing your lives. P.S. Tom, I would love to hear about how you got the Bronze Star. Oh, & I am enjoying the chapters. P.P.S. Don't you love this? Never before posted and now I write a book. Okay, back to observerville I go.
