The point of the two challenges thread is not so much what challenges are as much as to point out that by looking at the broader base of challenges and looking across time, you get a different set of urgencies. For instance, the two great challenges I see is a disparity in money spent for education and money spent for security and the large disparity between the economic sustainable growth rates between the United States and China/India. If I don't enter that into my thoughts on a problem like combating terrorism, I am likily to get tunnel vision and misapply resource or, even worse, misconstrue my priorities
