Model 41 S&W?

...what size barrel? The shorter one is going to have more kick to it. That's a 10mm and not a 9mm, correct? That weapon was up for consideration for one of our local P.D's but they ended up going with the Glock. While Glock makes a great gun, I've never warmed up to the grip or toy feel. I prefer the Sigs, Barettas, and S&W's.

Deborah, I've got a .45 Kimber. Custom scrimshaw handle. Beautiful piece.

Brenda, you can also start off with a .22, which tends to be more for target practice, or a little .25 Beretta, which is a nice "ladies" gun. Not an insult, just easier fit in a woman's hand. Not a lot of kick, or punch - so keep that in mind if you're looking to stop big game. But it's small enough to fit in a purse, which makes it an easy carry piece.
