A while back I looked at the definitionof leader---I was prepping for a lecture I was giving at MIT--anyway--I didn't like the definition--
what bothered me most was that if you consider yourself a leader--then you ask, what do you spend your time doing---it isn't leading---it is doing your own work--meanwhile, everyone else is doing their own work--so I came up with this definition---and boy do I get push back on this--
Leader- The person positioned, capable, aware and responsible for leading the organization. A leader MUST be moving with or ahead of the organization, be equally at risk with those most at risk, be acting in the best (long term) interest of the organization and have never achieved the desired goal before.
