Using the word "LETS".....

Posted by Tracy Y on 9/5/2005, 11:34:19, in reply to "Simone, actually that girl/there is more than one....."
I often say that, too. And believe me, I'm way into wives doing what they want.

But I've found in marriage that I really have to think about what my husband wants, what would bother him, what his needs are, etc.

I find myself using the word "lets" when he doesn't mind me taking time for myself, as opposed to my friends' husbands who "DON'T LET" them do anything.

And I also use it when he offers to babysit so that I can go out with the gals. I would conversationally say, "My husband let me go out for Girls' Night Out."

It's not a permission thing. Make sense?
