i'm surprised ... and yet not

given the fact that you're the king of leadership and all that, i'd think you'd be into integration as quickly as possible given that it's more likely to increase effectivity for the group as a whole.

Personally, our company is small (32) and we can't AFFORD to have people integrate ineffectively. On top of that, our employees are required to overperform in their positions (this is not generally the case for most govt employees, SEALS may be excluded here i suppose) and the better equipped they are to deal with the organization along with their job, the more likely they'll not only succeed, but feel good doing so.

I have to say, that if I was Chair and you were my CEO, I'd be disappointed that you weren't more conscientious of our resources.

I know you were being light-hearted, but still, I'm sincerely surprised.
