Okay--wise patootie aside

it is interesting--at least to me--that civilians worry about this stuff. The military goes through great lengths to assign spnsors and send out "welcome aboard packages" and and and and and---

which every good service person promptly ignores (both as the sponsor and the sponsoree in my experience). so a new guy comes in and you say something like "Hey"

to which he replies "Hey"

then you say--Hey--oh stop it no you don't--you say, "Never show up for morning PT and noone will ever know you aren't showing up"

to which they reply, "Well if I don't go to PT what should I do"

"Go buy us coffee--and donuts--hell we have been working out you load"

see, the key is to make them feel ate home (as in that hell hole the grew up in--little brothers crying, drunk fathers hollering etc) without making it seem you are going out of your way--cuase they'll resent you for that and send porn to the boss from your computer and steal your job-----

gotta watch the newbies----you don't have any dirt on them yet
