but the old guy always has something the new guy doesn't--experience--and that is always an advantage! New guys frequently out perform on individaual tasks--but it is a complex tiring occupation and being able to function excellantly and consistantly takes some experience.
If someone stopped fighting I would consider them a hostile non-combatant. I wouldn't go out of my way to harm them but I wouldn't risk people to save them
