I hope he realizes he had no choice

The first thing they tell you in all those Lifeguard classes is to save yourself first.

My husband doesn't float and barely swims. He's been told that if something ever happens... he'll be left behind. He's too heavy, and he could drown me easily if he panics. I'd wait and attempt to tow him but... He also doesn't wear one if he's out in boat. You have to bring them but not wear them. Personally due to his inability to save himself.. is stupid.

My children never go to the lake or the pool without their lifejackets on. I hope to start swimming lessons soon for Greg, but it will still be a long time before they go to the lake without a lifejacket. Lake Erie has a nasty under-tow.
