After 9/11 the Red Cross was strongly criticized about how they handled donations. Now they are again under scrutiny about how they managed donations after the Tsunami and Katrina and Rita hurricanes. One former board member said on the news that the management system was fine thirty years ago but that it needs to be updated to present day technology and management. The former board member said that the present Red Cross management would not be acceptable in businesses or universities today.
What is your opinion of the way the Red Cross is being managed? If you had unhindered power to make some changes. What management and other changes would you initiate? How would you manage the Red Cross if you were it's president?
