Thinking back to the unspoken gentlemen's agreement not to refer to FDR as wheelchair bound, I can't help thinking those days of the press making a decision like that are forever gone. Never mind that it might help national morale not to speculate wildly that anything and everything might be related to terrorists, I just don't think it's going to happen. In the past, people wrote "what really happened" in their private journals: years later the journals provided some of the raw data for our history of a past time. These days, blogs are our new journals and almost all of the information we receive is either unfiltered or slanted.
