Regardless of the way the ball bounces, when you agree that you will catch it, or pick it up and throw it back, you've still made an agreement. So the person throws it in the opposite direction. They may have PLANNED to, and they may have done it with a SMIRK. But that doesn't change your AGREEMENT.
