my two bits

I don't think people are any less or more moral now than we/they have been for the last 10,000 years. However, I think our US government is moving in a way that I find totally inappropriate - they think private citizens lives should be an open book to the police force, and the realities of government should be kept away from our innocent eyes, when it truth, the opposite is the way the constitution tried to structure our government - transparent government, privacy for individuals. As long as people in power lie, hide their lies, and make terrible decisions based on those lies, the quality of our lives will decrease. I don't think the average everyday person has really changed, on the whole, except to get fatter.

jumping tracks:So why not attack security from the standpoint of "let's work on society so that we decrease the number of people who WANT to breach security." Exactly. Let's do that.
