They are prisoners and should be treated that way

well, that would be my exactly point -

b/c we do not treat our own pple in our US prisons with the same concern, care and respect we accord these enemy combatants. So how is their care and treatment become more important than any other US prisoners -

and I wasn't saying torture them - I was saying "leading by example" here will not set the standard, regardless.
