however, at least under President Clinton it wasn't a direct 'conflict of interest'.

Ceasar's wife should be beyond reproach.

They should have discounted Halliburton and it's subsidiaries from consideration of ANY contracts the moment cheney became the vp. At least for the duration of his term in office. NOT given them NO-BID contracts and paid them exhoribant fees for substandard performance and product with no oversight on spending justification.

They've been caught red handed screwing the US taxpayer out of how many billions of dollars now? How many charges of overcharging and providing substandard meals and things to the troops so far?

If you're going to practice croney capitalism, at least use a company that has the ability to LOOK like they are doing a good job.
