Re: All about Love....

OK - It's easy for me to say "I love you" to friends. That's a piece of cake. But when I was in a relationship (of which there were only a few), I always hesitated. I'm definitely one of those women who waits for the guy to say it. Until I'm completely sure about how the game will play out, I tend to hold my cards close to my chest.

My husband told me he loved me for the first time when I was dropping him off at the airport - he was leaving on a business trip. He said it after kissing me goodbye, then turned and walked away. I didn't have time to say it back. (Unless I wanted to yell it across the airport terminal.)

So when he got back to town, we got to have a nice little discussion about that. :) (didn't want him to think I didn't love him.)

But now, we say "I love you" all the time. It's said with the kids, it's said between us. I don't care how often I say it. It's how I feel and I know my love is safe with him and my family.

But for new relationships, the guy had to step up to the plate. I never went there first.
