Really too hard to answer

Posted by Tom on 9/29/2005, 11:43:44, in reply to "Tom, what incidences professionally have given you the most personal satisfaction?"
I have had the good fortune of have quite a few satisfying incidents. Really, watching people who work for me rise above themselves to succeed. I had a guy in my first Division who was just a mess--former gang member Navy or jail type...when I left the ship he signed my card "can do!" still have the card. Showing up where people didn't think we could--helping people out who thought they were hopeless--seeing my Task Unit coonduct a take-down 9 days after a helo crashed that killed one of them and seroiously injured 4 others--walking away from a disarmed piece of ordnance and not being a pink cloud---

the real satisfaction was always just feeling I had done the best I could for the boys--

since then--well, honestly, hearing that some of you are thinking about your lives a little different by thinking WWSD?
