I worked in a Navy Think tank

doing future concepts development. There were women involved, both Naval Officers and contractors. The contractors we had working for us were from the big defense contractors--Raytheon, SAIC etc--it is a really incestous business, so there were people from all kinds of companies large and small working as subs.

I starte a consulting company back in about 1997 called Wounded Bear Strategies. It was an S-corp primarily serving the purpose of isolating me from financial liability as I was consulting to non-profit land mine clearance organizations. When I left Va beach, I let the copr lapse and started Off-Shore COnsulting, to do leadership, team building and anti-terrorism (don't like the work but it provides income)--obviously, as I was still in the Navy, it was mostly one time gigs. The MIT lectures are Off-Shore Consulting jobs.
