Varied Views

Was your team put together with men of varying viewpoints and belief systems? Were the teams configured this way deliberately? I believe when making major decisions it's important to have all different views in order to plan for contingencies. On major issues, to make a decision, I like to hear the liberal Democrat, moderate and conservative views, because one person may have thought of something I hadn't. Even though this might not change my mind, it makes me better informed and gives a clearer understanding of the issue. I would think this would be important for team planning also. Do you agree?
