Not sure I even understand this question without a scenario- Am I a captive audience, on bus, plane, train or car where I need wait for an opening? or can I easily escape? but the manipulation or power struggle begins on the psychological level first, so being aware that this is going on would make a difference.

Here again, it's so open ended - is it a 727-100 or 747-400 where the lost of life is 4 times more? or in additon does it hit an occupied highrise? Though I would say the security queue would be worse, not only due to loss of life, but in the pandemonium they could then access the entire airport. Of course they could really do that without an explosion, from the baggage claim level it would be easy and there's never any security on that level, so no one's watching and all those belts go out to the tarmac and lead to other secured areas, as well.
