Sharpes Eagle is excellent

If I were a history teacher, I would use that episode in class. It not only is excellent regarding 'holding the line' but also has the Virginian Tory in it who adds an interesting perspective about America's revolution and slavery.

How would you instruct young officers to deal with a Sergeant Hankswill? He was the Sergeant who worked the system, like grinding down men so they would either pay him off or give him their wives. He worked the system so slick that he made sure there was no proof about what he was doing.

Oh did you like the episode, Sharpes Enemy, that had Elizabeth Hurley in it? :))
