Not sure about that

at least not on a personal level.

Obviously government is pretty much useless as tits on a boar in an emergency/protecting the masses, but I *personally* can be safer by being prepared. Having emergency supplies on hand (including weapons), training myself in survival skills (including at least basic first aid, hunting/trapping/fishing, land navigation, 'survival', camping etc.) Having a plan, and a back up plan, and a second backup plan cuz you KNOW at least the first plan is going to hell.

It's a matter of knowing that only you can save and secure you. The government isn't going to. Be prepared. Be confident in what you've done.... and then get on with your life knowing that you've got a fire escape/safety net (of sorts) and don't get too wrapped around the axel about a bunch of shit you can't stop happening anyway.

Does that make sense?

Oh... what's this Combatting Terrorism thing? A book? Article? Where can I find it?
