First off let me say if you are unaware that most cities that have to evacuate an area have special needs shelters for individuals like autistic children,or people needing medical care. You usually need to be pre registered.
You said you were glad that we had guys willing to do what Tom did but you sure don't seem very grateful IMHO.
It has been almost 4 years since 9/11 after which we were encouraged have an emergency preparderness plan. That in the event of an emergency you may have to rely on yourself for a week or so. You say you would do anything for your family but yet you have no emergency plan. I think we need to take some responsibility for ourselves and our loved ones.
You say you wouldn't take orders and do things for the greater good but yet you seem to expect to have someone in the government take care of you and your family if an emergency arises. That strikes me as a dependent mentality.
