something that really stands out for me in any thing I have ever read or heard about the BUD/S training or for that matter being a SEAL...isn't JUST about physical performance....it is about the ability to think outside the box....(Note Tom was in the THINK TANK.) And I had asked him about the people with no common sense...remember he said they "usually don't last". No problem....I undertand completely that BUD/S , being a SEAL or any military for that matter is also about the physical capability and that the team is only as strong as it's weakest link....but, although I may not be as physically strong as the men, I may be the one that can squeeze into that little tiny window way at the top of the 2nd floor.... that my team members have just boosted me up to....I am pretty sure they will appreciate me being the little one on top at that point...they may have to pick up the slack a bit for me when we lift that stupid duck boat over our heads....but...then again....
And another thought.....isn't the whole concept of the SEALs about the TEAM??? About doing what needs to be done not as the individual but as the TEAM???? If I can prove myself to the team there shouldn't be any dissing on the male part of the team...right.....? Man I am digressing...But, I think my main points are it isn't all physical. I think, and of course I haven't done it, that it is the mental determination to "just do it" that is the concept of the whole thing/ along with teamwork....I am done now:)
