Why am I the only one in this hotel? Not many tourists here in the winter. Several of my friends have offered to put me up, but this area doesn't have high-speed internet readily available. The hotel owner brought in a T1 and wireless to the rooms. So no TV or phone, but I have a hot Internet line in my room. It's not costing too much, partly because it's off-season and partly because I did his web site and am trading work for room.
Also, staying in a hotel I can run around or touch base here as I please without inconveniencing or offending my hosts. Well, except for when I lock myself out of my room, which hopefully won't happen again!
I haven't had much time to read the board but have been archiving once a day, so when I find a breather I can catch up on reading and post stuff.
Off and running again today ... 3 client meetings in 3 different towns, and then evening visit with an old friend who's in town just for a couple of days with her new baby and her 3-year-old whom I haven't seen for almost 2 years! So it will be a nice end-of-day treat.
