Well--most people would tell you

that I was never a young guy---I've had old guys call me old---witch doctor said my soul is 2500 years old---

but when I was an Ensign I refused to be young and stupid--which wasn't all that hard. Though one day when I was a regular ship board guy I was at repair locker leader school---it was about how you control damage fight fires etc--so a 1st Class Petty Officer was running the class and he was not digging Ensign R---I was not paying enough homage. So, we were having a running battle and I was doing okay--not coming off as a snotnose but demanding the correct amount of respect---so, one morning finds me a tad underslept and over ethylized--so I rest my dark sunglasses on my face and rest my face in my hands--staring intently forward at the instructor--an promptly go to slee---so, out of the very fringes of consciousness I here "Will someone please wake the Ensign" AHA! thinks I--ultimate victory is mine--clawing myself to consciousness I flippantly reply--"Well they would IF the Ensign was asleep" HAHA--I remove my glasses to gloat on the shock on his face---but no---he calmly looks at me and says--"My apologees Sir, no offense intended---now, would someone please ask the Ensign
