Three-in-one and macarroni and tomatoes

I've been reading the others going - yes, that one, yes, that one - so I think most of my favs are covered :)

Ed's Mom does these - and now I do too. But I don't have measurements.

Three in one

Macarroni
Canned jar of tomatoes - homemade is best. We use 50/50 romas and beefsteaks and we cook it well first so there's chunks but no hard pieces.
lb of ground beef.

Cook macarroni, and brown the beef. Mix all 3 together. Now I add - mushrooms, onion, garlic, thyme, oregano, salt, pepper etc etc. Whatever suits or just leave it plain.

Put in casserole and cook at 350F for about an hour. Check on it regularly. You don't want the water to disappear. If you aren't using homemade tomatoes, you will probably need to add water.

Macarroni and tomatoes.

Cook macarroni and add canned tomatoes. If not using homemade tomatoes you may wish to mash them or cook them until they soften first.

Mix together. Heat on the stove and reduce liquid. Again - I add the same ingredients that I would for spagetti - carrots, mushrooms, onion, celery, spices etc... as a child... Ed at it plain with salt and pepper.

And chili. I make it the same I do spagetti sauce but add kidney beans with the gravy and chili powder. To extend - add macarroni.
