the surpressor

Posted by tom on 1/8/2006, 13:35:58, in reply to "Tom, a quick question about surpressor"
Has fiber discs in it that can be soaked with water. You would pour the water the suppressor and roll the suppressor to soak the discs as evenly as possible. I would not do it myself. The marginal benefit would be really small and the potential for damaging the surpressor high. You have to remember that the surpressors are very effective¡Xfor all practical purposes silencing the muzzle noise¡Xwhat remains is the mechanical sound of the weapon cycling and the minimal sound of explosion out of the breach. If you have ever heard a nail gun shooting roofing staples that is exactly what a silenced M4 sounds like---yes, I have ducked when I heard it walking past a construction site ƒº
