I don't know about AOL but in Explorer there's a mail button in the header. Mail a "page" to yourself. Then you can look at it anytime. It's doesn't vanish.

Also, if you highlight the sections you want and right click you can tell it to copy. Open Word or Wordperfect and right click and tell it to paste.

These are the easiest tricks I've found since coming here and wishing to save things. I realize other's may have different tricks... but for me.. these work.
