We also got an apple and an orange in the toe of the stockings (it fills it out well). Then there were the mixed nuts and piled on that was a gifty type thing or two with the lifesavers.
I get/give little stuff like people have mentioned - stuff that doesn't cost much but is handy to have or supports the recipients hobbies. Jewelry or scarves also work ok.
