During the Vietnam war

The ANG was called FANG (F^cking Air National Guard) it was the next best thing to being a conceinious objector you were pretty much gaurenteed to never leave US shores.

Right now the inlistment goals of all branches are falling way below the mark.... will they have to do a draft as the war continues with no deffinate end??? (the last I report from Bush was at least 15 year???)

I don't blame the ANG Reservist for not wanting to go be blown up in Iraq. Every night on the news they show footage of trucks that have been blown up and the segment to fallen heros 9 out of 10 have been killed in roadside bombing...
My son-in-law's reservest brother was in a roadside bombing in April of this year both of Nicks legs were severly damaged and it was touch and go on weather he would keep the one leg or ever walk again. The guy he was sitting next to was killed instantly and the other 2 were hurt badly...war sucks...and people die....

When I talk to my Muslim friends here on campus I see what a large gulf between our two cultures there really are and trying to hand them democracy is a big undertaking which most don't want...
