Thank you, Yoda.

$150/hour, eh? So, how much do I owe you now?

Well, start keeping a tab my friend, or refer me quick. My questions may become numerous and inane. In return, if you ever need a consultant in marketing/media/publishing, I'll be there for you.

Before I move on down my list of q's, I have to ask about your comment "I have only worked for Two Admirals that I thought were worth a cr@p--of course, I am jaded." I'm assuming some part of this is because they were wiling to do what's "right" and thus displeased those up-chain. I hear a specific "anecdote" here. Please share an example.

And then, if you're so jaded--can you give a specific example(s)?

Also, I need a little clarification on the military system being "good at creating, but bad at promoting" perspective. I'm thinking about the reasons that this could be ... Limiting structure, tenure, some asshole who subjectively doesn't like you and therefore won't support you for promotion, rigidity of process, lack of opportunities, lack of mentorship, punishment for doing the "right" thing vs suck-up (or dare I say "political")? Other than the ability to hop "systems/companies", I don't see the major difference between the military and civilian system. Can you drill it down for me?

And lastly, I'm guessing that the experience of quality leadership is different for officers vs. enlisted. What do you think?

Am I racking up quite the bill?

Mic
