in the Navy, "the love shack" is one of the more versatle terms--it can mean someplace where there is usually a lot of hollering (XOs stateroom), a place where there is a lot of work (Admiral's breifing room), a place were there is nothing to do but relax (ready room) or a place were you are sentenced to spend hours standing sith heavy binoculors around your neck only to be relived by someone senior at the slightest hint of excitement (the bridge)
