Like Gail's father-in-law, my dad talked a lot about WW2 toward the end of his life

Of course that may be because I made a point to visit him more often. Since he was more or less an invalid to his recliner, we mostly just talked. I learned a lot about his time in the Pacific theater that was new info for me.

That time together is so precious to me now. (Sniff)
