I know a young man, a lifeguard, 19 years old, who resuscitated a 3-year-old at a local pool. Training kicked in, he did everything he was supposed to do, by the book, the child survived - and the lifeguard went home and became physically sick when the adrenaline rush wore off.
Did the closing ceremony take place that same evening? Did you have/did you need time to 'regroup'?
