Right after 9/11 we had over 50 forign exchange students that went un accounted for and about 100 withdrew and left to go back home because their parents felt that it wasn't safe to be here.(most of them were from Saudi Arabia, Iran, Iraq and Afganastan)
Our local branch of the FBI in Moscow,Idaho (8 miles away) assended on campus searched through all the computer files (InfoTech keeps logs of everthing that is logged into and dialogue too so even those office people who go to the porn sights during work or lunch time are recorded some where).
Fast forward a few years we had an exchange student who had been here since 1995 and even though he was enrolled at the U of I in Moscow he took classes here at WSU. He was running a web sight that funded the 9/11 terrorist and they had been monotoring his acctivites. They arrested him and deported his family and after his conviction he served minimal time and was deported also..
