My take on it...

So how to explain that?.....don't know, except to say maybe our definition and expression of the word were more in sync, more aligned. <<<


I think, in these two cases, its not so much what the other person was SAYING but what YOU were feeling. You felt more *complete*, and in love with the second - not to say you didn't love the first. There's a vast difference in loving and being in love.
