Jim had planned on joining the Air Force, as he wanted to work with planes but went with a friend to the naval recruiter. The recuiter told him the navy had planes and convinced him to sign up. Then he has him take the nuke test. So Jim went from joining the Air Force and planes to the Navy and subs. But now he loves it. In fact, when he goes back to sea duty next year, there's a chance he may be placed on a carrier and he doesn't want that at all. He wants his sub duty back.
