Basically it means things to make either the soldier or soldier's family more enjoyable or easier/more tolerable. Our MWR site has info about dining options on post, sports (adult and child teams), events on post (we recently had Jeff Corwin and the next weekend was Jim Caviezel), recreation like golf, bowling, rentals for camping, as well as info dealing w/ military life. There are classes a dependent can attend that range from parenting, learning about the military, to finance. There is a lending closet in which you check out dishes, etc if you need them.

It's serious business in the Army. I'm not joking.
