Would seem to me that courage is always needed if one is to stand behind their beliefs with conviction--whatever those beliefs may be.
So many things wrong in the good ol' USA and yet so many things right.
I was blessed with the most patriotic parents -- immigrants (Italy) who LOVED this country more than most. Learned from them to appreciate our 'system' 'cause while it may not be perfect, it sure is better than most!
Oh & speaking of courage -- just the fact that folks immigrated shows courage IMHO.
