From many of the things you've posted here, it seems like your views on politics and current affairs -- even religion -- don't square with the stereotype there is of the views of people in the military, maybe esp. in special forces, on these topics.
So assuming that's correct -- and believe me, I know that it might not be -- did that ever get you into conflicts with the people you served with/under/commanded? Or are those kind of topics not really discussed?
