My experience is that before Hell Week quitters are tolerated as in they aren’t despised. After Hell Week someone who has quit is referred to simply as a quitter and I know of few lower insults/monikers. See the thin is, when you quit durin Hell Week you are quittin on your boat crew and your class. He reassin boat crews once a day. So when you quit, you are actually increasing the work your crew does—I had two people in my boat crew quit durin’ log PT that meant that for about 8 hours five people had to do the work of 7—I hate quitters.
