I told you I might have a contact for you and you were going to get some information together for me. And then I realized that it would probably be easier if I gave you some more information and you could decide whether your target audience demographics coincide with my friend’s broadcast area.

I have a friend who’s a morning news anchor in Salt Lake City, UT. His broadcast base is most of Utah. He’s conservative, and a really nice guy. He’s married with 4 kids. He’s strong on family values.

If you think it would be a good opportunity for you, I’d be happy to help out. I can’t guarantee anything because he doesn’t owe me any favors. But I know he holds me in high esteem because he wanted me to marry his brother years ago (he thinks his brother blew it and I haven’t said otherwise). I’m also friends with his wife. She’s really sweet and very involved with her kids.

If you’re interested in this contact, then I would need a write-up that would make him think, “Wow! This would be a really great piece!” If not, I’d still be interested in your write-up.
