Another thought...

I had a client once who grew up in Connecticut, and he told me he grew up with a loaded gun propped against the front door jam. In their house, you weren't allowed to point anything at anyone else. They were taught to respect guns and to never pretend to shoot someone because guns were serious.

Consequently, we've adopted that teaching attitude in our house. We teach our kids never to pretend shoot anyone. They can pretend target practice, but not pretend shooting someone.

You never know when they might be at someone else's house, and pick up what they think is a pretend gun. If they're taught never to shoot at someone, then they're a little safer.

Now, light sabers....well, they're a different story. LOL!
