You have never been dumb a day in your life

Lets just say if you are willing to follow someone, and I do not for one millisecond question that Tom is worthy of being followed. That you need to be less enthusiastic in your consumption of happy juice.

You need to ask yourself if you succeed in getting him on Oprah, does he have all of his material ready? Do you think Oprah is really the right venue for someone as intelligent as Tom is? Perhaps you might ask him if he would be willing to consider other shows that are more serious? Perhaps you might consider researching other venues for his appearances (such as Dateline or Sixty Minutes or Nightline or best of all Charley Rose on PBS) that would give him a better form for his presentation. But as followers don't you have a responsibility to your leader (Tom!! not you Cyber-Dtr) to make sure he has the needed operational intelligence to know that he's heading in the right direction? If a leader is unaware of other options then he could end up at the wrong place at the wrong time. As cutthroat as the marketing of serious books can be, it is very important Tom lands in the right venue for his first book, don't you think?
