Whiskey isn't the same as rye in Canada. My dh and FIL discovered that on a trip to TN. Actually, my parents mentioned it long ago. You always stop going over. Wine's the same, tequila's probably better in the Southern USA :), US beer has less alcohol and Cdn rye and USA whiskey are not the same.
I'm thinking a CR bottle for Erika (and me of course :) ). We usually drink Alberta Springs. The trick is to pack it in my suitcase so it doesn't break.
