so I think it was a definite posssibility--but I would have been more suspicious of that being the cause had the women been junior officers. I would not believe that that would happen in today's military--we have come a long way. That said, derogatroy terms like dyke, lesbo etc are certainly still thrown around and has to be corrected. I think the prediliction to make judgement based on looks is the biggest non-criminal problem---I have had frequent oppurtunity to say,"Really, all I see is a fellow miliatry professional"

Once in Afghanistan we had an A-10 flying close air support, So the pilot checks in and its a woman--didn't even occur to anyone to think about it until someone in the debriefing brought it up, and then it was "Really? Yeah I guess so-"
