Actually we started planning it in June. Took a little bit to get my husband use to the idea. My Mom and Dad offered to babysit right away so that takes one worry away. Ed would prefer the kids go to their house but with school and Russ just starting therapy we can't do that. I appreciate that having the house to himself would also give him a bit of a holiday.

I've decided that I'm entitled to 1 trip/yr. Last yr I went cottaging with some friends for 4 days. This year I'm going to Boston. Tracy Y wants to try for a get together for next summer... although I can't give her date/budget plans at this pt in time. But when I mentioned it to him... he was open to the idea. I'm trying to involve him somewhat in the people and conversations on the BB. Not the "girl" chat stuff - just general things. I think it helps too with the idea of me going to see people he's never met. He'd never say "NO you can't go" but I think it makes him nervous going to visit strangers - did that make sense without coming out like he's controlling or something, cause he's not.

I'd also like to get over to see Chrissy one day. She's one of the few within driving distance :) Soon. We tried to meet in the middle this summer and life kept getting in the way. She's 3hrs from me.

If you ever decide to come nearly 4 days north... we're always home.
