I think we've all been there - I was 15 when I was followed home

And I never thought anything of it. It was after a football game, some guys in my class were ahead of me and this guy came off the tracks and through the park behind us. I lost him in the subdivision and never thought more of it. Until I went to get the mail.

He'd gone around the house, got stopped by the pool fence, checked the side door - the noise I heard and was coming back around when I walked outside.

I was 4 steps up and he asked me for a dollar, I said No and he left. My Mom chewed my backside for not calling the cops afterwards. She got home about 30min later. He was a homeless person in dress but beyond that.... I have no idea.

After that I hated staying in that house alone and I got a ride to school with a neighbor until I could drive myself. We were the first road beside a golf course and had to walk through a large day park and across the rail tracks to school. Too far to go around.

Like Tom, I think if someone left a gun in a drawer, he should have expected it to be either used or stolen.
