I am going to have to think about it more though...like I said...when it is someone you know...the initial punch/slam/hit/threat etc...is a BIG surprise..due to not ever thinking someone you should be able to trust is trying to hurt you..but then again, I guess a stranger attack would be a surprise/not as big of one, like I said women are taught from birth to fear/use caution around strangers...we aren't taught to use the same caution around the people we know...I see your distinction...I really do. I am not saying it isn't valid, but when it is happening you don't think "hey, I really don't know Little Johnnie from the 13 year old kiss":) you are thinking "holy sh*t, he just hit me"...you are saying...when the fist flies, he is then a stranger....I gotcha:)
